The Quakertown Area Meals On Wheels Program

Needs Your Help To Deliver Meals

The Upper Bucks Senior Activity Center has been home delivering Meals On Wheels for  a few years now. Previous to this, Saint Luke's Quakertown Hospital provided the service. We deliver about twenty seven meals throughout the area Monday through Friday. Recipients are our friends and neighbors who do not have the ability to shop for food and prepare it themselves.

If you decide to volunteer to deliver meals, you can choose to do half or the entire delivery route. Half the route takes less than an hour, the entire route takes about  two hours. You will be using your own car, and you will be paid by the mile.  Our Meals On Wheels program is sponsored by the Area Agency On Aging in Doylestown.

If you would like to help us this way, contact the Upper Bucks Activity Center at   (215) 536-3066   and ask to speak to me, Linda Smith or Susan Besse we can answer any questions that you might have.

If you know someone who might like to deliver meals, please pass this information on to them.

Thanks so much to everyone who will read this, and consider volunteering.

Positively Aging Bucks County

School Based Tutor Programs

September 2018- June 2019

Develop confidence and motivate positive results for learning in the life of a young child!  Positively Aging Bucks County (PABC) partners with several local school districts to supply volunteers that support emergent readers and help build character in the lives of young children right in our community.  The relationship built between a child and a tutor is often a significant part of a child's learning experience.

Volunteer opportunities are available throughout Bucks County with commitments as little as a few hours a week.  The primary focus is reading, however, classroom aides and tutors in math and science are also needed.  Enroll in the PABC volunteer program today and help us supply the demand for support in our classrooms for this school year.
